Ukrainian Egg Decorating, Part I (3 hours)
Wax Resistant Method
Become familiar with the basics of the art. Complete one to three eggs during one three-hour session. Enjoy a fifteen minute video, display of artifacts and folk music with Daniela dressed in a traditional Folkloristic outfit. |
Ukrainian Egg Decorating, Part II (3 hours)
Wax Resistant Reversed Method
Decorate an egg using the bleach and vinegar method. Create unusual color combinations. Video, display, folk music. |
Ukrainian Egg Decorating, Part III (3 hours)
Eggs as Christmas ornaments
Christmas designs by Daniela. Previous experience required. Add final touches to your egg artwork, paint faces, create lace effects with a toothpick. Video, display folk music and slides. |
Easter in Czech Republic and Slovakia (3 hours)
Four ways of traditional Easter egg decorating: wax resistant method,engraving,blue ink painting and dip-pull method. Display of artifacts and folk music with Daniela. Make this class an exciting cultural experience. |
Christmas in Czech Republic and Slovakia (3 hours)
Ornaments and Christmas Cookies To Bake And Make
Make simple tree ornaments from wheat, dough and wood. Get new ideas about cookie baking and making. Make your own Christmas cards. Listen to Christmas carols, folk music and enjoy artifacts. Materials and informational booklets are included in each class. |

Daniela demonstrates egg engraving, personalizes her artwork with names and messages and signs her books. |
